Actually, this is one of the problems that parents are encountering because toddlers are really difficult to handle because they want to explore everything around them and they already want to be independent. However, they can easily get sleep when they are tired playing all day long. Thus, it is important for toddlers to get enough sleep and rest because they really are losing energy and getting bigger as day goes by. Parents really need to watch this so that they will be able to come up with their own ideas on how wil they handle their toddlers easily and accordingly.

I just let my kid snuggle and after an hour or so of talking to him, telling stories and stuff he just goes to sleep by himself. It's not that hard to make your kid go to sleep.

hi Veronica, Mike Todd learned child growing up getting them to sleep has was a very difficult process… My kids never took naps they would go straight out until they passed out. I could have the most consistent routine possible yet it wouldn't work nothing would work… Active wearing them out over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again… And over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again didn't work either… My four kids are now 6, 8, 10 and 12… he still have problems… They just don't want to go to sleep! This is really true. When I was a kid I used to find something or anything I can do to avoid talking to my mom and those awkward moments we will surely have when we start to talk. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my mother. She is a great mom. We were so close when I was still very young but then in teen years something changed. We don't talk a lot anymore and if we do talk, like I've said… awkward moments. I didn't really know what happened or what changed but as I was growing up I felt somehow that she wasn't really listening to what I say. I feel like she's just humoring me and doesn't take me seriously. I can only get her full attention when I've said a bad thing or I've done something wrong. So I guess that's what happened between us. There became a sort of gap between us that until now has never been filled. Now that I have my own kids I will never allow that to happen to us. To all the parents or moms out there, LISTEN TO YOUR KIDS !!!

I make sure always that I have time for my kids. I'm a single dad and have two wonderful daughters. Every weekend we always go fishing or sometimes go out of town and do stuff together. I make sure even if it's quite awkward for me sometimes, that we talk. And I think that they are pretty comfortable now with me as their dad/mom/councilor/shrink.
